Cristina Windisch made available rooms of her property, in San Daniele del Friuli, as a secret place in which the works of art could be kept in safe, after the decision of moving from Passariano. On October 25, 1943, contracts for the rental of these shelters were signed. Storages were periodically inspected to ensure the protection of the artworks. Carlo Someda de Marco didn´t reveal to anyone the exact location of the Princess´ property. In this way, he preserved the works of art from possible destruction.
